We are now seeking a Senior Quantitative Analyst to join Scania’s Financial Services team at the global headquarter in Södertälje, 30 minutes from Stockholm City. Scania Financial Services is serving customers, dealers and distributors in some 60 markets through 16 captive business units with financing and insurance solutions. In markets where we operate Financial Services finance about one third of Scania’s truck sales. Over 1000 dedicated professionals manage a portfolio consisting of 160.000 trucks, buses, coaches and trailers representing around 100 bn SEK of assets financed and more than 100.000 insurance policies.

As a Senior Quantitative Analyst you will be an important member of the central credit risk department. The credit risk management team is a core of Scania’s captive financial services with the main purpose to optimize credit risk management. Main focus will be working with Scania’s credit scoring models, models for automated credit approvals, impairment models for IFRS 9 and models for credit risk management on portfolio level. You will join a competent and senior team of five co-workers.

·        Improving and maintaining our different credit risk models

·        Validation of our credit risk models

·        Working with data quality for our credit risk models

·        Working with implementing our credit risk models in our business processes

·        Participate in other projects related to quantitative credit risk analysis

Your profile:

The right candidate for this senior role has a relevant university degree and the right working experience from the financial services or banking industry. You have a good aptitude for financial mathematics and a high level of computer programming skills. Experience in credit risk modelling (ECL, PD and LGD modelling) will be an advantage.

Good communication skills, including ability to work in a multicultural environment will be needed. You are self-motivated with a high level of dedication. Fluent in English and other languages are a plus.
